Shelene Huey-Booker is a passionate worship leader, educator, speaker, mentor, and creative rooted in faith, family, and a life of service. Raised in ministry and faithfully serving at her father’s church from a young age, Shelene discovered early on the power of worship and the arts to transform hearts and uplift communities.
She holds both a B.A. in Music and an MBA in Management, blending artistic excellence with visionary leadership. From founding the Notre Dame High School Gospel Choir to directing worship teams and performing across genres, Shelene’s ministry has always centered on glorifying God through the arts.
As founder and Executive Director of Youth Utilizing Power & Praise (YUPP), she empowers the next generation through performing arts, fine arts, public speaking, and mentorship. Her stage play, “To Be More Like You” and her live album "Songs From the Altar" showcase her gifts as a writer, arranger, and prophetic creative voice.
Above all, Shelene is a worshiper—devoted to creating spaces where people encounter God. Her voice carries presence, purpose, and passion, reflecting a life fully surrendered to His call.
